The goal of LiveGP is to introduce newcomers to the community and all the great things businesses and people in Greater Peoria have to offer!
To help facilitate introductions for new residents, we are creating a “First Friend” program. First Friends act as that first personal connection in the area and helps break the ice for building both a social and professional network. We are looking for people who are passionate about Greater Peoria and are willing to take time to help newcomers find their “place” in our region.
Once you are approved to be a First Friend, you will be paired up with a newcomer. A successful First Friend will complete the following 4 stages over the course of 3-4 months (minimum requirements):
- STAGE 1: Introductory phone call (i.e. introduce self, get to know individual)
- STAGE 2: Schedule a time to grab coffee or lunch (i.e. typically done during business hours)
- STAGE 3: Schedule a time to meet up outside of work hours (i.e. socials, happy hours, golf outing, etc.)
- STAGE 4: Phone call (i.e. explain you will be here if they have any further questions about the region)
